Hello World, Welcome to This Perfect Mess, my name is Wanjiru Njuguna.

I graduated with a bachelor of commerce (accounting) degree in 2019, from the university of Nairobi,(Kenya.)

As they say, you are allowed as many times as you want to press the reset or replay button, after all, this is the only life we have. Resetting I did and I found myself in an online class doing the Havard University’s CS50X.

CS50 is an introduction to the intellectual enterprises of computer science and the art of programming. Topics include abstraction, algorithms, data structures, encapsulation, resource management, security, software engineering, and web development. Languages include C, Python, SQL, and JavaScript plus CSS and HTML.

Alongside this course, I watched a lot of online tutorials and read programming books on different languages and built projects both for my assignment and as a hobby.

A little background story, as I was studying accounting, I had a lot of free time and I was looking for a way to express myself through writing. That’s how I started my first blog, which after a lot of reinvention led to this website. Doing a lot of dragging and dropping anything from themes to widgets on this site and the previous ones that I have owned made me very curious about web development.

My partner also encouraged me a lot to ‘give it a try’ and see whether it was ‘my thing.’ Turns out, it was really my thing. I am finding myself having a lot of fun coding, howdy “woman in tech.”

Aside from my usual stuff that I write on here, I probably will be sharing my coding journey on my blog section. Feel free to check out my github! Also, here is my portfolio.
